Ill give her a shot.......
I didnt think the dirty disk was it but I gave it a shot anyways....
This is my second reformat. I just attempted to reload xp and now I getting a new error message.
driver corrupted mmpool
wtf??????
I do believe I have an image of it somewhere I can reburn and try and reinstall.....
ya try that if you can find the backup image, good luck

Okay.... Ive tried formating and installing win 2000 on two separate drives...... I recently had a mobo warrentied with a replacement but never had this issue before.
Heres a list of what Im running:
P4 3.2
1g of kingston
1 lg dvd rom and dvd burner
80g maxtor
160g western digital
Nvidia 6600BFG GT
Asus p4p8 mobo
Creative audiology platinum 2 zs
I thought it may have been the disk but after trying the two ops I dont think its it. Ive tried 2 other harddrives with the same problem happening each time(blue screen of death with error, but different error each time). I can only get as far as the set up into xp and win 2000 and then it crashes. Not sure what else it could be.....Please help....
Its your ram, something gone wrong with it. Don't ask me why Windows XP is very fussy when it comes to ram. I'm guessing it maybe damaged in someway. Take out the stick dust them off, reset your bios give it a try, if it doesn't work get some new ram fairly cheap these days.
