    Shareaza Question

When using shareaza, must you connect to all the networks or can you disable them
For example, how would i prevent connecting to the edonkey network and how do i disable the use of bitorrent.
    THANK YOU
In addition, what does "Remember folder views" and "Watch library folders" mean

Watch folders - These are folders that are listed to the program and any contents of these folders are available to DL via the networks. These are your shared folders and are automatically updated. It's best not to have these too full or active because the hashing will slow your CPU.

Remember View - This is simply a setting so the program remembers your last view of a folder (IE> Thumbnail, Tile, Icon ect.)

You can't disable BitTorrent but you don't have to use it. eDonkey, Gnutella1 and Gnutella2 can all be turned off, or disabled.

To turn off G1 - Tools > Settings > Gnutella > Uncheck "Always connect to Gnutella1"

To turn off G2 - Tools > Settings > Gnutella > Uncheck "Always connect to Gnutella2"

    To turn off ED2K - Tools > Settings > eDonkey2000 > Uncheck "Auto-connect every session " and "Connect to eDonkey2000 today"

there is a way to disable bittorrent in shareaza

go to settings-general-web-and uncheck bittorrenet after you do this. you will need to reinstall the program that u want to use so it grab the association for torrents. this is the only way i got shareaza to quit using bittorent.

That actually solves an association problem of mine but it doesn't disable the BT in Shareaza, just the association.

    Thanks for the replies
Never used this program before, is installing and uninstalling the program fairly easy?
Do you recommend changing any of the default settings to provide better performance and safer usage?

Do you recommend using, for example, Limewire rather than Shareaza
