    Hey some strange and stupid world records you may not have heard of!!!


    1, biggest rubber band ball : John j bain (USA) constructed a ball made of rubber bands that weighted 1.415.2 Kg 3,120 lb when measured on October 22nd 2003 in Delaware USA it has circumference of 4.59 M ( 15 ft 1 in)

    2. Largest online music store? : The largest online music collection of legally downloadable music is apple I tunes, which launched in may 2003 since then, it catalogue of songs has grown to over 1 million individual tracks, and can be paid for over the internet.

    3. Largest illegal file sharing service : Before being shut down in 2001 after legal action by the RIAA ( no need to say what we think of them ,lol) the illegal file sharing service napster had over 70 million users. Created by us students Shawn fanning, the service enabled members to swap mp3`s online for free napster has now launched as a legal site now!!

    4 First ever spammer!! : on 3 rd May 1978, Gray thuerk (USA) sent the first spam email, advertising a product via Arpa net, a system seen as the predecessor to the internet.

    5 Highest capacity Intercontinental internet route : In 2003, the internet routes between Europe and USA/Canada had a bandwidth capacity of 389.221 Mbps… in USA/ Canada to asia & pacific a bandwidth of 103,282.3 Mbps

    6. Heaviest weight lifted with tongue: Thomas black thorne (UK) lifted 11.025 Kg 24 lb 3 oz. with his tongue on 11 September 2004

    7. Most tennis balls held in mouth by dog: augie,a golden retriever successfully held 5 tennis balls in mouth on 6 July 2003….. can your dog do better??

    8. smallest personal computer: OQO (USA have developed a fully functioning personal computer with a 1 GHz, 10Gb-20 Gb hard drive space 256MB ram capable of running a full version of miscrosoft windows its dimensions are 10.4 * 7.3 * 2.2 cm and it weighs less than 9 oz it was unveiled on 16 april 2002

    9. Largest annual food fight!!....: on the last Wednesday in august, the town of bunoil near Valencia, Spain, hold a annual food fight with….tomato’s it was in 1991, when 25,000 people threw 125 tonnes of tomato’s at each other from backs of lorries dumping the red fruit on the floor for ppl to mush each other in… the rivers of tomato juice ran as deep as 30 cm deep in places

    10. The most valuable biscuit: At christen`s in London UK, on the 18 April 2000 a biscuit from sir Ernest Shackelton`s unsuccessful 1907-09
    Expedition to the south pole went for £4.935 or $ 7.804 it was bought by an art dealer Jonny van haeften
