New Attack on BitTorrent sites launched!

***UPDATE: Thanks to all our readers and the readers on Digg and other blogs for your support! A rep from GoDaddy has Called and "cleared up the misunderstanding" they Will restart the DNS services for MyBitTorrent.com and allow MyBittorrent to freely transfer to another registry of their choice. Again the power of Blogging has prevailed! *** Godaddy did the right thing!

With over 1000 Bittorrent sites registered to it it seems to be a really stupid move on godaddy.com part to start banning them and even going as far as to hold their domains hostage but that is exactly what they are doing.

First site to have been hit by their new war on bittorrents was mybittorrent.com but considering server other large bittorrent sites are registered with them we are sure more will fall prey soon. As far as we know of at least 3 other top bittorrent sites:

    torrentspy.com

    mininova.org

    isohunt.com

    are also registered with godaddy.

And This is why Europe wants to "take over the Internet." Domain names the USA cannot be trusted with currently, since our government is corrupt, non-representative, and corporate.

Hmm, don't know if the corporates have any leverage against this, but Just In Case, the IP addresses of those four bittorrent indexes are:
    MyBitTorrent.com
    219.117.228.244
    torrentspy.com
    83.149.102.38
    83.149.103.166
    83.149.102.34
    mininova.org
    83.149.119.115
    isohunt.com
    69.64.61.30

I couldn't tell you if that was static, or dynamic. Hopefully the former though.

OMFG! OINK! Nooooooooooooooo! If OINK were lost I dont know what I'd do.

IRC channel though heh? Been a long time since I used newsgroups, may have to dust off the ol' Newsbin PRO.

Whats the best newsgroup reader out there these days?

I hope that Torrentspy and ISOHuny get rid of GoDaddy and signup with someone else! I love those sites!
