Question Connect an old tower to a Laptop

    Hey everyone,

I have an old 7500mhz computer with a 20gb hd and was wondering if it would be possible to buy a cable to connect it to my laptop, so I could use the 20gb as a extra drive for my laptop?

That's a big external hard drive. May I suggest buying and USB Hard Drive Enclosure. Just put your hard drive in and plug in the USB.

Use a network crossover-over cable and connect the nics or buy a router and then share the hard drive in the old tower.

Greylin, I already have a ADSL router, how would I go about sharing the hd?

You could do Direct Cable Connection (assuming both computers have their parallel port free. I googled for you and suggest this ( http://www.windowsnetworking.com/j_helmig/dccmain.htm ) link for further instruction.
