    Exclamation Omg! Computer Messed Up!!!!!

hi this this my first time here and so i dont really know id this is in the right topic or not so sry if it's not.
Anyways, I really have a problem with my computer.
For some reason everytime i start it up and it gets to the desktop, it freezes! so basically im locked out of my computer. I dont know why this happened but Im thinking it had something to do with a windows update thingy, because it started acting like this after i updated it and restarted. I didn't restart the first time because i was busy doing tons of school work on the computer with not much time, so every time it asked me to restart i said later until i got annoyed with it. Maybe these are why it's been wierd i dont know. Maybe a virus i dont know.

    so please help.

...sounds kinda like a virus....can you still get into safe mode without it locking up on you?

Reboot it into safe mode. Then run a virus scan. If this show nothing use system restore to revert to an earlier date i.e. before you did your updates.

reboot in safe mode like ^ and do virus scan, but also check the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run and see if there is anything in there that you do not reconize. anything strage like "wwsaesd.exe" or sasser32w.exe

these are viri and should be deleted, thus they will not run at startup and you will be able to access your entire system and delete these.
