Recently I got a new computer for my room, and to hook it up to the internet, we had to buy a wireless router for the other computer and a wireless network card for this computer. Now, before I ever had a router I'd get normal bittorrent speeds, like 10-100 kbps and stuff. Now, after I got it I'm LUCKY if I can get up to 5 kbps. I don't have a NAT problem, and I've forwarded the necessary ports (I think) but this still happens. What can I do? I'm using a DI-524 router btw.
I have read the sticky but I didn't find anything that helped my problem.

Meh, most of the settings were already the same, or similar, to those recommended.
I guess I'm just destined not to download anymore :/

that's how the pros like me download :p
Assuming B or G means bad or good, I'll say good and bad.
i still get good download speeds downloading directly off FilePlanet or something
bad because i basically can't use p2p program anymore, cant play games online with a decent ping, and the whole connection just randomly goes offline for long periods of time quite frequently.
I guess the bad points steamroll the only good point though.
B and G are the speeds of Wi-Fi standards (802.11b and 802.11g) a 'b' speed would give a max transfer of 4Mbps (512 KB/s) while the 'g' standard would put out 108 Mbps(13,824 KB/s); although take in consideration that an internet connection rarely reaches these high levels and that 4Mbps is usually a normal high speed connection. According to the model, it states that it is a 802.11G standard, but I doubt it's your router's speed that's slowing you down.
Two possible aspects could be that
1) you DO have a NAT problem and the ports are not forwarded correctly. If you have the latest version of Azureus (2.3.X.X +), and you have successfully forwarded the ports, then you should see the NAT health light at the bottom of the window light up GREEN (next to the DHT health indicator)
2) another possibility is your ISP itself, they may be throttling your bit torrent connection either through port limitations or packet searching. The only remedy is to change the port to a non common BT port (VoIP ports work for ISPs that packet search)
there are other possibilities that could cause the slow down, try changing these aspects first.
The light is green, and i have tried using non common BT ports.
Uh yah , your downloading too much shit at the same time.......................ease up on the porn buddy...........:POriginally Posted by ifyouseekay
