Well if it stops the cheating on private trackers im all for it. I never really enjoyed bitcomet, especially now that utorrent is out, which i recomend to everyone 100%.
Am I missing something?
Cheating?

uTorrnet is a real good one. I've been using it for a while now.
Surly they are not banning the software because you can cheat. You can cheat on azureus anytime you want without getting into trouble. what's the difference?

Ok, from what I understand.... they are banning bitcommet because it allows exchange of tracked torrents by outsiders. Whereas, Azureus is coded to not allow distribution of torrents coded as private through dht.
“The martyr sacrifices themselves entirely in vain. Or rather not in vain; for they make the selfish more selfish, the lazy more lazy, the narrow narrower.” - Florence Nightingale
AFAIK the individual users on a private tracker still need to set Azureus to only accept connections from the private tracker. Also, by default Azureus publishes to several public trackers. I believe that this will not allow people to necessarily share the private torrent but it does make it much more visible. You can often find info on torrents from places like bitme and oink on public torrent searches; it just won't allow you to leech them.Originally Posted by Excrement_Cranium
If the private flag in a torrent is set, Azureus will NOT share it via DHT and peer exchange regardless of the user options that are set.
BC, however, chooses to ignore this flag after a while and will begin to exchange and share torrent/tracker information.

Thats why i get so pissed off about it. People exploit the program where it ends up getting peoples bt clients band. If i was a bit comit lover and someone exploit it and then i couldnt use it again. I be pissed. It encourages people to share and actually speeds up everyones completeion rate.
i would highly recommend bitspirit - if u want pure speed,
but these days m capped to 96kbps hence i am using utorrent
