    bittorrent causing timeouts

Well, recently (last 3/4 days?) whenever i have a bittorrent program running, i constantly timeout of websites and trackers. Using Azerus mainly and bittornado. the problem goes away too after i close the torrent program. Using PC-Cillian 2005, updated. xp SP2
