    Free antispyware that actually works

ok, i give up. i've googled adware and spyware sites to try and supplement what i've got now (avg free, adaware, spybot), as i know there's stuff my current programs aren't catching. i update and scan like a maniac. even use trend micro every now and then. i've been to a lot of the sites recommended on here, but most of them will only scan for free. they've all shown stuff i have to be rid of, but hey, you have to register and pay before that happens. grrr. are there any programs other than what i already have that will actually remove spyware, etc. for free?

They only have their hand out if you try to subscribe to the automatic updates, and that is something you can easily do yourself.

Note, when I saw the title of this thread I thought it was about a girdle.
