I'm a MAC OS X user on Tiger 10.4.3 using azureus 2.3.0.4 and I've recently started getting a new error message.
"Input/Output error, write fails, flush fails, when processing file...."
Its only been happening the last few days, I have to stop the download and restart it for it to pick up, it doesn't seem confined to any one download. I've been downloading on BT for years without encountering this error, and I'm hoping someone can help me.
I've seen a couple threads here that suggest a cure on a PC, issues with FAT32 and allocation files, but none of those apply to me.
I recently had to change the hard drive in the MAC, but its set up in the appropriate mac journalling format, and everything else seems to work fine. Only other change I can think of is there was a recent update to java for MAC tiger users.
Any suggestions appreciated.
I recall the othe time we had that error, and just re read that thread, it was not resolved
My advice, uninstall java, reboot, reinstall java, reinstall Azureus
.
Okay, 2 changes.
First I went into Java Preferences and changed the supported JRE to 5.0, the problem still occurs but not nearly as often. Say every couple hours instead of every 15 minutes.
Second, there's a brand new azureus release, 2.3.0.6 today or yesterday. This is the listing for it.
Hopefully that will fix the issue, if not then I'll look into reinstalling java and azureus.1. What's new in Azureus 2.3.0.6
This is a further bug fix release and also contains various improvements including:
Better banning of peers that send corrupt data
Alternative upload controls when only seeding
Renaming and retargeting of files within a download
Better reporting of firewalled status
NAT traversal for magnet downloads
Java 5.0 support for OSX
Bugfixes
Note: New Windows launcher exe might require allowing "Azureus.exe" internet access in your software firewall (instead of javaw.exe previously).
