    Wow, old thread...
    I've always used http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/
    Prompts are easy to follow, and the default action suggestion for each step when running it leads you to the password reset. I just blank out the amin password, and restart.

    I'm kinda partial to Hirens boot disk. It has a shitload of other tools on it, besides password tools. Hirens 13 recently released: http://www.hiren.info/

    Most likely, but seeing as drtoker gave him the benefit of the doubt, we all did as well. You must admit, since the vBulletin upgrade, hardcore spam problems are pretty much a thing of the past.

    Had to reset bossmans local user account today on a netbook and I totally forgot about Hirens until I saw this post after... I'll give it a go though. I keep meaning to see what all it has on there. Last linux boot cd I used was packed full of goodies!
