Yellow Faces, No Router, SP2 Firewall Disabled

Ok I am using Azureus 2.3.0.4. I do not use any router. The SP2 firewall has had the 16881 port opened (on both TCP/UDP) and I don't currently use any other firewalls. I have PeerGaurdian 2 installed and enabled (though have used it both with it enabled/disabled same results).

I am currently running from within an apartment complex. My internet comes from the wall directly to my computer (probably is the ultimate source of the problem). Is there any way to see if they are causing my yellow face? Can I see what ports they have forwarded to me (if any)?

btw it's been awhile since I was at ZP it's good to be back...love the RSS...is there one for the forums too?

Is the IP they are giving you something private like 198.xxx.xxx.xxx ? They might and probably do have some sort of router or firewall set up.

So am I to assume that means that no ports are being routed to my IP address? If not is there away to check...other than typing in the 100,000+ ports?

    1) When you go to whatsmyip.com what does it show you?

    2) Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig /all

    3) NETSTAT [-a] [-b] [-e] [-n] [-o] [-p proto] [-r] [-s] [-v] [interval]
-a Displays all connections and listening ports.
-b Displays the executable involved in creating each connection or
listening port. In some cases well-known executables host
multiple independent components, and in these cases the
sequence of components involved in creating the connection
or listening port is displayed. In this case the executable
name is in [] at the bottom, on top is the component it called,
and so forth until TCP/IP was reached. Note that this option
can be time-consuming and will fail unless you have sufficient
    permissions.
-e Displays Ethernet statistics. This may be combined with the -s
    option.
-n Displays addresses and port numbers in numerical form.
-o Displays the owning process ID associated with each connection.
-p proto Shows connections for the protocol specified by proto; proto
may be any of: TCP, UDP, TCPv6, or UDPv6. If used with the -s
option to display per-protocol statistics, proto may be any of:
    IP, IPv6, ICMP, ICMPv6, TCP, TCPv6, UDP, or UDPv6.
    -r Displays the routing table.
-s Displays per-protocol statistics. By default, statistics are
    shown for IP, IPv6, ICMP, ICMPv6, TCP, TCPv6, UDP, and UDPv6;
the -p option may be used to specify a subset of the default.
-v When used in conjunction with -b, will display sequence of
components involved in creating the connection or listening
    port for all executables.

    4) NBTSTAT [ [-a RemoteName] [-A IP address] [-c] [-n]
    [-r] [-R] [-RR] [-s] [-S] [interval] ]
-a (adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its name
-A (Adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its
    IP address.
-c (cache) Lists NBT's cache of remote [machine] names and their IP addresses
-n (names) Lists local NetBIOS names.
-r (resolved) Lists names resolved by broadcast and via WINS
-R (Reload) Purges and reloads the remote cache name table
-S (Sessions) Lists sessions table with the destination IP addresses
-s (sessions) Lists sessions table converting destination IP
    addresses to computer NETBIOS names.
-RR (ReleaseRefresh) Sends Name Release packets to WINS and then, starts Refresh
    RemoteName Remote host machine name.
IP address Dotted decimal representation of the IP address.
    interval

Redisplays selected statistics, pausing interval seconds
between each display. Press Ctrl+C to stop redisplaying
    statistics.

Bring back everything that you can, follow my example

You live in the Gainsville, FL area your ISP is http://www.gru.net/home/

Your property has bought the bandwidth from them, and is being provided under the child domain of courtyards.gig.gru.net.

The TOS listed here does not mention restricting P2P activities therefore it must be the router that uses NAT to give you the 10. address.

Call your property management and tell them you want your fucking ports.

Do I just ask for all the ports they might be forwarding to me? Or do I ask them to setup a port for me?

I'm not convinced that youre not on a university, and that they are not getting the bandwidth via wireless. There are a number of small colleges around you that have this same internal IP schema, that also broadcast across campus using wireless, such as Wagner.

If you can't get ANY P2P prog to work, with no firewall, ask others that live where you do if they are successful.

The best thing to do is just ask up front, if they are blocking ports and get it over with.

I know that I am not a part of the university system per se. I definately live off campus...it sounds like you are familiar with the area I live right behind Norman garage, near sorority row. Definately within range of the UF wireless, but technically not apart of the universities system. I live in a property managed by Trimark properties...so I am going to call them up and talk to them. Incidently I copied down one of the ports from the listed used ports above and inserted it into Azureus, it did not get me the green smilies. However, my downloads have more than doubled in speed. I don't know if that is serendipity or not; but it was just an observation.
