im rather new to to sharing programs, and find myself having the next problem; i'm having extremely slow downloading speed and every time i run a test in the network folder for the connection, the test fails although i´m still receiving files but in a very slow speed. i really think it has nothing to do with my internet connection cause i only have problems with this program (it´s ares by the way) hope someone can help me:icon_thum

Well the only thing you really gave us to work with, is the word Ares

Why dont you supply where you are, your ISP, if your using XP, or SP2

Are you at college?

What other P2P apps have you tried? Does anything else work?

Do you have a firewall? a router?

ok i´m not in college, i do have a firewall, i don´t use other p2p app,i´m using xp and i don´t really know what an isp is

Who is your internet thru?

Cable or DSL?

Router? try www.portforward.com




Start > Run > compmgmt.msc

Check the Event Viewer, and System

If you click on the error you will see something like this:
