Work around him installing in what way? What is it you are trying to accomplish?
17 USC § 1008 Prohibition on certain infringement actions:
No action may be brought under this title alleging infringement of copyright based on the noncommercial use by a consumer for making digital musical or analog musical recordings.
He does not have admin permissions on the pc.
Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be.
Just get the version that's in a zip and doesn't need an install.. Like eMule or uTorrent.
This question totally does not make any sense. I suggest you retype your question and I might have an answer for you. Thankyou.Originally Posted by Airski
when i try to install programs such as file sharing programs i get a you need the admin to install it on pc for you
i get a couple of them to work like winmx and soulseek but i would like limewire or bareshare
obviously you shouldnt have administration privileges if you are going to install limewire or any gnutella.Originally Posted by Airski
Is your computer set up so you have different log on accounts, because from the sound of things that's probably the case. Those other programs that you said like Winmx and Soulseek that supposedly already work have already been installed by your dad, and those programs he put on are set up on the adminstrator account to be shared with your lesser account. The reason you can't put any other programs on like Limewire is because your dad restricted those privliges so you can't install any other programs, only he can. If you wanted to change the configuration settings for installing programs on lesser accounts you would have to access the administor account, and you could only do that by knowing his password. Or, to avoid any hassle struggling to acquire his password through dishonesty you could always ask him to adjust the settings he enabled. Anyways welcome to ZP, it's always good to have a new member and don't be afraid to ask more questions. Thankyou.Originally Posted by Airski
Here's some more advice for you Airski, so read well and aknowledge the fact that I am 100% right for this. Limewire and Bearshare are both filesharing clients, and they both use the same decentralized network called "Gnutella." There's no need to put both Limewire and Bearshare on your computer, especially when they both access the exact same content found on the Gnutella protocol. Bearshare is also known to have unwanted bundles of ads in it that embed themselves on your computer while installing it. You can do yourself a great favour and totally skip the whole idea of installing Bearshare, and instead put Limewire on you computer (if your administrator lets you). Limewire is free of any unwanted bundled ads, not to mention a highly regarded p2p client on ZP and filesharing enthusiasts alike.Originally Posted by Airski
