I followed today (10.12.05) the suggestion to d/l the Pie patch for Winmx and it works. I have in this moment working uploads and I'm waiting for my d/l to start.Halleluya

i dont understand my ppl liked winMX so much. i tried it and i hated it. anything i wanted on it i could get on another prog easier and faster.

As for whether or not to use the dll, or host file, we all know that often theres more than one solution, and almost always, there are variables that are unaccounted for.

SOME programs lock the host file, therefore a replacement host file may not work. The DLL was contructed to allow the program to directly find resources. Honestly, I dont see a real conflict or conspiracy here, what I see are 2 factions that both were quick on the spot with a solution that helped a lot of people, one way or another.

Not to overstate the obvious here, but at this point in the thread, I think it's clear that if one solution doesnt work, try the other, but that having BOTH solutions can be conflicting.
