    Firefox 1.0.7 & Torrent Downloads?

    Hi All,

I just downloaded Firefox 1.0.7, the issue is, I don't see how or where I am suppossed to beable to use Firefox to download torrent files with it!

I got a older version at home that I can download torrents with. Did this new version diable that feature? I've checked google and came up with no answers, checked mozilla site for plugins, etc. and still nothing...

    thanks for any help!

As far as I know Firefox can't be used to download torrents but Opera can. Try google that instead.

Can't you change the settings to allow torrents?

I have the 1.0.7 Version. Isn't that the newest version? Otherwise, where could I find the older version that allows torrents downloads?

Thanks guys for your help so far.

Look in Options/Downloads/view and edit actions- all FF versions have that

I do not have "edit actions"

What version are you using? Maybe I should just try that!

Ok, Maybe I'm wording my question wrong.

If I go to a site like torrentspy, and choose to download a torrent file, I can do that with FX.

My confusion is, I thought that FX allows fow torrent downloads just like a client app would!

Ok, maybe i'm wrong. I'm at home now and I have version 1.0.6 installed on my home machine. I went to a torrent site and chose to download a torrent, the download manager poped up asking what I would like to use to open the file with , etc.

So does this mean that at my work machine, I would have to actually have to have a client installed? and that FX itslef does not have a built in client?

Everytime a torrent gets clicked on to download, my abc program pops up asking where i want to save the file.. Its nice, torrents can be searched on through firefox adding a plugin from their website.
