How can we make ZeroPaid a better site?

After the drama of last week I woke up this morning thinking "What can I do to make ZP a better place?"

I have hired SoulXTC to crank out guides for users, which he will be doing more of in the future and we have created a neat place for members to upload favorite photos and even thought about re-opening the donor thingie for private top notch p2p conversation...

Ideally, i would like to get more content into the site to make zp more suitable for new members and keep us growing.

So how can i make ZP a better place?

I believe CJ suggested a guide thread be made. It could be made up of all the sticky threads (the likes of malicious's BT one ect.)

What did you mean by the drama of last week? Are you referring to the upgrade that messed up some of the links? What is it that bothers you about the site now and oh yes I need to mention the last time I checked comments in the news I thought the layout/design colors for that were perfect...I hope it hasn't changed since the last time I checked.

I'd change your logo to a dollar bill. Preferrably a one dollar bill with George washingtons face in the middle and the logo to "0paid" with a zero + paid.

Of course the dollarbill wouldn't be very long..kinda of squished...i'd also make a money motif for the background using white with either x,y lime green stripes.

May I make my own parody site and call it 0laid?

No point in doing more to help n00bs if it is all going to be ruined scam adverts.

I've therefore decided to back scamming new people.

Instead I think we need to start making ZP a site you graduate to from other sites. A position ZP needs to start to wrestle back from p2pconsortium.

I'll leave the magic of doing that up to someone the web master.

How about some kind of setup where new artist(musicians, idependant film makers, etc) can sign a contract stating that they will always allow their content shared on filesharing networks then have their bandname placed on a list along with maybe a .torrent link to their creations. Then any merchandise they wanna sell can be sold through the zeropaid store with a small portion of the profits going back to zeropaid. This would not only contribute to the comunity as a ressource for free sharable content but also help out those who are pro p2p get known as well as help fund the site.

The only problem with this idea is that its a huge undertaking and would probably require hours uppon hours of work. I was just thinking of such a system the other day and thought it would be ideal for zeropaid.

How can me make a serious p2p guide with ad to pay p2p program sites? I suggest we use what we have at hand.. Nothing to point others to scam sites in the guide area. Instead.. Links to all the appropriate stuff that is needed. A guide should have steps in them. . 1, 2, 3 4. Not paraghraps but things to do whats next. And each guide should show you how to configure it, open up the ports.. And such.

Maybe a separate area of closed threads that are just guides. That could be the noe-stop place to go for info. on everything. It'd be easier to find and easier to reference.

There are already a bunch of really good guides that have been put together by various members here. I know they're stickied in various forums but some newbs just never know where the hell to go. Even if the same guide is posted multiple times in multiple areas, I think that would help.

If the ads must be here, at least move the ads from on top of the content to the bottom. And on the front page collapse the p2p software highlights links section to make the news section more prominent.
