Hey, I just downloaded WinMX 3.1 and I also recently got a cable connection to the internet, so I am lacking knowledge of whats going wrong.
When I run WinMX 3.1 it installs and when it tries to configure my internet connection it says it has problems with the TCP incoming connections and the udc ports. I am using a wireless router with a built in firewall and I assume thats the problem.
I need help on resovling this problem so I can connect on to WinMX3.1, so if anyone can give me step by step advice it would be gladly accepted.
Thanks!
Kris Mas
Does anyone have any helpful information for me regarding this?
Thanks for your time.
Go the settings page of your router and map two ports for TCP and UDP packets (use port numbers in winmx settings). Then reboot your router and see if works. Also network connection page on winmx use the secondary connection, routers work better in secondary connections rather than primary connections.
good luck

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".
:fire Sorry to throw water on the fire but as of yet it is not a piece of shit, it is working great for me. If I have any problems I will let you know.It seemed to be a resource pig at first, but for the last 6 hours all is well. Also if everone goes back to the old one we will never develop a user base. Good luck folks.

WinMX 3.1 is excellent, you're just another one of these cretins who puts it down because you dont get the number of users you used to. Well DUH! It's like 4 days old!
