How to set all mp3s to the same volume?

I have many mp3s which are at different volumes, so when i play them on my mp3 player, i have to always turn the volume up and down. I want to know how i can make the mp3s the same volume
    THANK YOU

my advice would be to try and get them again

in my experiance it reduces quality, raising or lowering the volume

nero is a prime example with its "normalise volume" setting when burning a cd

if u really want to do it then i recomend "goldwave and the lame encoder"

but dont ask me for precise settings as goldwave can be pretty tricky

My ex made a CD for me, converted the files to .wav then edited them somehow then back to mp3 and burned or something. I'm not entirely sure what he did, but the CD sounded great.

gold wave will do it but its just that if u increase it by more than a few dB either way it tends to nacker up the sound :S

i use mp3s on my phone as ringtones and they need to be made louder u see

Musicmatch does this but unless you want to cause complete and utter pain here I suggest you try a simply one task volume normalizer. Google sent me here

It's way too easy to just redownload the songs and make sure they are all the same quality, bitrate. Then problem solved and you have a consistent music collection without the need to adjust each mp3 that sounds different. I download most of my mp3's at 192 or320 and i never have any trouble.

Best thing is to download albums from same group or person who ripped it. All the audio levels will be the same unless done differently when recording the album which has been done.. Its not that hard to turn the volume up or down if you have the speakers control knob on the keyboard.. or buy a keyboard that can control it.. Just turn up the speakers, and control the media player volume from the keyboard.

For winamp this plugin does the job on the go, without changing ur mp3
SqrSoft Limiter: his DSP is useful for normalizing the sound level, use this with your SqrSoft ACF.

or u can check Mp3Gain (set it to 97) , this will change ur mp3
