Please Help! on azureus on your-freedom

:icon_scra Dont ban me i have searched the forums but no topic was found with 'HTTP tunnelling'.

I am behind a university firewall, which blocks P2P, irc etc..hmmm....

So i use a HTTP tunnelling client "your-freedom" to use my P2P client azureus. the maximum bandwidth for up and downloading is 64Kb in the free version.

I use a Windows XP on my system.

I am able to download stuff with my azureus 2.3.0.4 even though it shows only Yellow smileys, NAT test shows NAT error.

The problem is that my maximum attainable download speed is horrible, about 1-2 Kbs/sec eventhough my typical uploading speed is about 10-12 Kbs/sec !!

This is so frustating.

I am using the default setting of azureus like the port 6881, but with the SOCKS 5 proxy option turned on.
Basically i am routing the azu traffic thru the your-freedom client.
will port forwarding help? without compromising my anonymity?

please help so that i can stop being a good samiritan and download something for myself!

I heard of two options that will present itself to help you out.. WIFI from verizon that blankets northern america. Get it if its available, or have a PC hooked up to your friends house and go over there to pirate.
