I am having a problem with my Winmx it says finding network connections and flashing the yellow light, but nothing happens, i can't download anything until that light goes green, its been like this now for 3 days, i would really like to download again, what do i do from here? What is the problem?
Get the new hosts patch for it. Go to http://www.vladd44.com/mx/peercaches.php and search for it. If the one they have on the site still does not work, use this url: http://www.winmxgroup.com/ And try reading some of the other posts before making a new thread that has been answered a million times.

I've installed all the fixes and patches. My MX was working fine for the past few days, but went down again today. I can't connect now either. Any thoughts?
Try a different patch. I am online with WinMX now. You may also try a different version of MX like the beta 3.54b4. I am using the patch from the WinMXGroup.com site because the other did not work. try that one.

Okay, so I downloaded the patch from the WinMXGroup.com site, and now WinMX works on my office PC (that wouldn't let me install the vladd44 patch due to restrictions).
But here's a wierd one for ya -- there's a little message at the top of WinMX that says "Click here for WinMX help." It opens a web browser to www.winmxworld.com, which displays a message that says "Please don't find us -- we'll find you." At first glance this can be a little intimidating, not to mention irritating. Who the fuck is THAT directed to??
