    Dude, where's my bandwidth?

Does anyone else have this problem? When I run azureus, my bandwidth drops from 4000kbps to ~150kbps, even though I'm only getting speed around 100kbps in azureus. I've had this happen with a few other clients as well.

Is there a client that doesn't waste all that bandwidth? It's irritating, especially when sharing a connection with another torrenter...

nah, bro ya got it wrong fo' sho'. I'm downloading just fine. I'm happy with the speeds I'm getting....I'm not happy with the effect the the client is having on my bandwidth not being used for BT. Lets say I'm uploading @ 40 kbps, whilst downloading @ oh, about 150 kbps. I'm fine with that. However, I check my bandwidth via any of the various utilities that test it, and my 4000kbps connection is only getting ~150 kbps, and that's on a good day. A 190 kbps usage does not account for a 3850 kpbs drop in bandwidth left for surfing, etc. If I stop the client, my available bandwidth goes back where it should be. Even allowing some overhead to be used for establishing new connections doesn't make sense...

    Christ learn how things work

Limit your upload, stop saturating it.

Stop trying to download too many things at once

Check your Event View > Application log for 4226 errors

whatever your dslreports bandwidth test measurement for your upload shows, dont go near it.

    Christ I understand bittorrent.

My upload is limited...at 40 kb out of 357 kbps.

    I'm downloading one (1) file

    No such errors.

My cable line is rated at 6123, though I tend to get about 3000 kbps while not torrenting.

Read carefully and ask questions before assuming you're the only person around with a brain.....

how many seeders and leechers??? Remember that if everyone on a torrent has high speed bandwidth, and alot of them are only uploading 40kbs.. It could be that more or so people are maxed out and some cant get maxed out since not many are uploading fast enough for others to max out their connections.

I'm not assuming I will prove it!

You reboot, and go to DSLreprots, and do a badnwidth test, then save the results as an mht file.

Use the http://speakeasy.net/speedtest/ for a 2nd test result.

Now, I want you to post screen shots of these, AND the screen shot showing your upload. And when you have finished posting these, we will explain to you the difference between kiloBITS and kiloBYTES.

    Go ahead, im waiting.

why put money on anyone? It's a support forum

d3ft0n3s is on the right track....about the complex, not the contest. There is no contest. I've got more important things to do then get dragged into a flame war for the next few days....I refuse to engage in any conversation or even acknowlege you after this post.

Now....may I please speak to an adult?

No, it further PROVES my point

You are NOT showing the bandwidth you are using from Azureus, only from the TEST

If you combine the TEST, with what youre using with Azureus, then you are SATURATED

The TEST sucks down everything it can thats left over from Azureus, and thats why you get that number, the fact that you have NO upload left to acknownledge packets, drops your download speed.

Your WHOLE bogus and unfounded pissing point is about a test, that doesnt even matter in the real world unless you try other P2P apps and are limited by this same principle.

Is there anyone here that can speak down on his level?

Anyone got a 5 yold that can interpret for me?

    Anyone?
