Problem with bittorent, NOT AT UNI OR COLLEGE!

Hi everyone, before anyone starts hammering me about not searching the forums, I have done so and it seems most people are at uni, and seem to not understand that they have blocked P2P.

However, I have just recently moved into a block of appartments which has its own internet connection at a small anual fee, which does have a router which blocks alot of ports, so I presumed that it would not allow appz like limewire and BT to work, but strangley enough it allows bitcommet to connect to a few peers, giving health of anything to 10%-200% depending on which peer it connects to (obviously dependant on peers conected, but it show that there are 77peers and 25leechers in the app). The problem is that it only connects to a few peers, when before I moved it used to connect to lots, and give me nice speeds (now i get 1kbs).
Under logs, i also get this.....:
Windows XP ICS Status: cannot find working ICS.
Windows XP ICS Status: cannot find working ICS.
Windows XP UPnP Status: device not found!
Windows XP UPnP Status: device not found!

but the services are there, and installed...?

I have tried azerus but then i get "connection error: unexpectedHost:www.torrentsitewhichiwontputlinkon. com"

I've tried changing ports to random numbers like 12145 or 24544 etc, but no increase in speed. Anyone got anyideas?

ICS is Internet Connection Sharing. UPnP is Universal Plug and Play. Neither do anything for torrents. The reason it only connects to a few peers is because now many of your potential peers are behind firewalls. Before, they could connect to you and send the data. Now, neither of you can connect to the other because of the firewall/router, therefore, no upload/download.

windows xp has a limit that you need to patch, to connect to more then 50 sources.

also alot of it can depend on others not portforwarding.. Unconnectable peers can really slow it down. Alot of closed torrent sites list what ports are open or if they are connectable and have tons of help forums to help everyone achieve the best speed.
