What to do w/o WinMX

OK people, I am completely lost and broken hearted without my WinMX, now what should I do?

My god there are multiple flavours to pick from, what you have to do is try a few different ones, and pick the one, or 2 that you like best.

Now I feel slow,(in a should probably wear a helmet and be safe kind of way,) I didn't realize there were sooooooooo many programs out there.....what's hot for good music?

That is hard to answer, as everyone has 1 or 2 prefferences. It depends on what you like, and im sure you will get many different recommendations. Ares has a simple GUI, and makes a nice start.

thx, you're way cool, but do you know anything about KaZaa Lite, that seems to have way more downloads than ares, or lime-something....

Yes, Kazaa lite has way more downloads and way more fakes. For music try Ares. I've recently tried it and it works ok for those single songs I want. Otherwise I use Gnucleus for songs I can't get elsewhere.

The mods can handle that later, as the flood has slowed, and we can concentrate on making a single help thread to help the displaced. If someone wants to make a good how to, Im sure a mod will clean it up and pin it.

Masterbate, ok now seriously I always hated that stupid program could someone please tell me what was so special about it? Yeah it was one of the orginal but still it fuckin sucked I hated it since day one maybe I am not seeing the big picture.

Ok gather around the pc, and I will tell you of a time when all my friends were getting 20 or 30 songs a night, and I was getting a gig or better not using anything other than regular WinMX. It fucking rocked. i didnt mind the GUI, it just kept smoking in the movies, and tunes. To me it has been dead for a while, but the legend lived on. Was it programming that sounded the death knell, or the RIAA making people scared to share? Who knows the truth? what i do know is that its dumb to put all of your filesharing apples in just one basket. Have many baskets, so when one fails you can keep the crop coming in.
