Recently I restored my computer to use a stripped down version of XP Pro with SP2. Works great and Internet Explorer 6 is installed and I just installed WMP10. Now everything seems configured correctly in the settings except when I go to any site offering videos to watch in the browser (eg. big-boys.com) it never loads or plays anything, all I get is a distorted looking player like in the attached picture. I would really appreciate it if anybody could help me with this problem - Thanks guys!
Windows Media Player
Version: 7.1 and later
Firefox 1.0: Automatic
Mozilla 1.7: Automatic
Netscape 7.2: Automatic
Important! Known Issues
The Windows Media Player installer will automatically detect your browser's plugins folder and install the plugin.
Note: If you are using Windows Media Player 7.1 or later, Mozilla will detect and use the Windows Media Player plugin if it is installed.
Note: Netscape 7.2 uses the Windows Media Player ActiveX control if it is installed. To use the Windows Media Player ActiveX control with Firefox 1.0, see the Embedded Windows Media in Firefox 1.0 thread at the MozillaZine Forums, written by Vectorspace.
