after I downloaded a dvdrip.xvid I cant open it can anybody tell me how

OK then, what you need is the proper CODEC to decompress it.

i could give you a big schpeel about this codec, and that, but im gonna give you ONE

ONE . . . all encompassing solution, use it, or not, fini. End of story.

download it install it and open the file with this player it should work
btw if the file is whatever.xvid u can usually change the extension to
something.avi
just open it with this player i linked u to after u install it and it should work
