NAT Failure | Have read ALL help

I am getting a persistant NAT failure with Azureus.

I am using SP2 with Windows Firewall disabled.

I have tried Port Forwarding port 50000 to my IP address on TCP via my router, Ive tried other torrents and Ive checked anti spyware etc.

I am absolutely stuck as to why this is happening, doesnt matter what I do, my NAT test keeps failing.

I am using a Buffalo WBR Router... if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Losing hair over this.

Hi Stringss, I had the same Nat problem as you. I have a Linksys router and had it set up properly with my old PC and the Nat test was fine. When I built my new PC and hooked it up it would constantly give Nat errors in Azureus with the same configuration as my old PC. My old PC had FAT32. The new one is NTFS.So I was firewalled somehow and stealth on all the port tests. WinXP firewall was also disabled. So I figured maybe the firewall shut down my ports on my new install and when I disabled the SP firewall it kept the same settings as if it was still on. So I went in and enabled the SP2 firewall and went into the settings in exceptions and added the ports manually . I then disabled the firewall in the settings and also in the services. Now I have the green smileys and the NAT errors are gone :icon_rabb .I personally think the SP2 firewall in FAT32 resets when you disable it and NTFS locks the settings no matter what. Hope this helps you out cause this drove me nuts also. If this doesnt work post your hardware configuration cause maybe your chipset on your motherboard has firewall as in Nvidia. I also want to mention that I have my router set at port triggering and not port forwarding. This way your ports are only open when you use your BT clients etc.. which is more secure.

Okay , in the windows firewall did you click on ' Advanced " and untick Local Area Connection? If that doesn't work go into your router and Azureus and set port triggering to 6881. Port triggering has never failed me yet but just make sure no other PCs are using BT clients at the same time cause your data might get mixed when downloading simultaneously. Also port triggering you dont need a static IP address it just works , period. After that, make sure you do a restart of both the router and PC. Good Luck!

Okay, try looking in your router's users manual or documentation to see if port triggering is supported. I know that some of the newer wireless routers are very sophisticated to set up right for the average PC users depending on your ISP with DNS and all. If no luck with the triggering method I would go back to the link up top and recheck all your settings or try another router , mine is Linksys on 512/128DSL EZriot
