Hmmm, Winmx still kicks ass for movies and TV shows

Here is my proof. I went to work and came back to find 11gigs downloaded and more on the way. Wonderfull!

How do you sift through all the fakes? The last time i tried downloading movies the network was riddled with them.

Mostly by chat rooms but also I sort by Status if you see a user with 7 of 99 open slots or something similar, you know its fake. After a bit you start to recognize what to look for. There are a lot of fake users out there but they do not give me any problems. Ive been loading my drives down with lots of Kung Fu movies (winmx has lots!) and also a lot of TV shows. Its still working very well because there are some great groups that support certain TV shows big time. I think a lot of people give up to easy because of the que system but as long as you can wait, it works very nicely. It really doesn't take that long. Just let it run awhile and the downloads will start ouring in like a torrent of files. I get amazing results for video content.

a lot of "1 user" what if that 1 user buggers off.


i use to like winmx but sadly the developers gave up on it and so did alot of users.

I use slsk now its alot of winmx with the chat rooms.

I remember when 1 user is all you needed. I really never felt much of the benefit of multiple file hosts on downloads, as it was usually just a jumble of slow connections.

Not to mention, I always limited my upload slots so I could upload at a better rate to each user after my files.

There is a reason why you see only 1 upload at 0 and thats because for some reason all my uploads timed out and no one had yet to connect. I suspect that while surfing I over loaded my connection ( I was downloading a program from a website too) . You may look a little closer and notice all my multi source downloads had timed out to, leaving me with only one source for each file. I usually have 3 slots going and believe me, I supply lots of content. BTW, I got over 10gigs of shows today too.

And what does it matter when they will finish? Its not like I'm just sitting here wating to watch all these files at once anyway! All that stuff to sift through? Yeah I got it rough! I have to sift through so much to decide what movie to watch tonight and its lots of stuff you probably will never find on your BT sites that are run by the FBI. I never download any fake movies and the movies always finish so nothing is wasted.

Why enter the winmx thread just to dis it? I'm just showing how easy it is to find media to download. I really didn't expect them all to start at once, I admit. I was trying to get complete seasons of 2 tv shows along with the movies I had going and came home to 32 downloads going at once. BT can't handle 32 downloads at once, your connection would be so slow it wouldnt finish in a week.

Im trying to give open minded people a heads up on where to find a lot of content that is hard to find anywhere else, its up to you to either use this knowledge or ignore it or get caught in a web, spun by the, dare I say it again? FBI. Its your grave, you can dig it deeper if you like. I may even plant some flowers for you in between all the movies I'll be watching. I'll try and make some time, I promise.

He's right, winmx is at the bottom end of the p2p food chain. Only after it has gone through the newsgroups, bt, irc and ed2k networks will you stand a chance of getting it. Also bt requires uploading too, so that may be what you have against it. If you feel you are safer on winmx than a private bt site then its your grave. You always have kazaa to run back to after the mpaa starts suing you.

I haven't used winMX for years. I remember the best thing about it was the opennap servers and the amount of quality they contained. Does this feature still exist?

Yes, but it will suck the life out of your system! As I recall, most of the open nap servers require you to register and I quit using them.

I still use Winmx for asian media and apps.
