A game console problem...

I am having a problem with my DreamCast console. It acts like it won't read the game disc's, but then it will play music cd's, and it will play games off the files list inside the memory cards. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your lazer might have gone on the fritz, alignment could be off it could be plenty of things. Ive had problems with the playstation not reading discs anymore. As for dreamcast I have no complaints. You could always buy a new lazer/motor off the net. I think they are about 20$ but for that price you may as well find a consol on ebay or something.
