    BT Errors - NAT/Others.

Hiya, currently having NAT problems with Azureus. Kind of anyway.

First, we've followed the guide and tried everything there- nothing worked.

Using Azureus, XP, Firewall Disabled, SP2, port 50000 as the listen (We tried 6881/etc), and have it forwarded in the router. The hardware is:

Linksys Etherfast 10/100 5 Port Switch
    Belkin Router F5D6230T3

    http://img312.imageshack.us/img312/6384/settings9hh.jpg

Is a link to the errors we get. All we get are L's- no R's. Ever. However the NAT checker says the port works.

Any ideas on what to do? I've googled with no luck.

Oh, our max dl speed is about 160k~ and our max upload is about 70. If I uncap upload it will max out, the torrents i'm testing are decently popular, the rolling stones one (i hate it but like 500 seeders and 1/10th leechers) wont even start anymore.

    Thanks.

    I looked at your pic

In the pic, it shows BANDWIDTH

    3.3, 5.8, 1.5, 2.7 etc

Sure these speeds are crap, but I want to direct your attention to the SEEDERS and PEERS

Maybe you think BT works on magic dust, but if no one is there to seed, where do you think youre supposed to download from? Some clients do require a certain port being pened as a "listening port" but aside from that, I do not see where you think you have a NAT error.

And even if you DO think you have a NAT error, briefly bypass the router and swith and eliminate them from the equasion.

Looking at your list, I would delete the whole of it.

Also, try using BitSpirit as a comparison, if you get the same problem with BitSpirit and bypassing the router, then you'll know you cant finish a file with zero seeders. At least with BitSpirit you can use alternate trackers if the same hash is being tracked on multiple sites.

Couldn't help notice that you have upload speed set to unlimited. Not a smart move. By using up all your upload bandwidth, you wil have latency overhead problems from too many connections. You need to cap the max upload to approx. 80% of your available upload capacity.

    Krell:

I've used the same torrents friends have been getting their max speeds from, that is not the speed i should be getting. You're telling me that massite 2 bytes/3/6/8 a second is what it's supposed to be?

    Zarquon:

It says unlimited there, but it's actually capped at 20k/s. I've screwed around with pretty much every interval of upload cap.

In my file settings area, it has all L's listed, and no R's- according to 2309487 different help places that signifies a NAT error, assuming there are people to share (which there are). However, according to the NAT checker, it is fine.

I max out at about 10k/s on that one. That's one of the highest ones I can get.

EDIT: That's if i'm lucky by the way, I'm currently getting 12 bytes/sec

EDIT#2: I almost always have a Connection Error (Timeout) in the tracker status

OK, so . . .do what I asked, eliminate routing and fiewall possibilities, and try BitSpirit

    Then use the same torrent

    Ehh, side note:

My friends comp on the same network gets faster speeds than me on the same torrents, he gets R's and L's, and I sitl only get L's.

This is with exactly the same settings, just changing the IP address when testing. (Yes, my IP is right).

Also, we tried going direct on his computer and the speeds were the same as it was before (He can get green happies a lot but mostly tracker is down).

    Trying BitSpirit now.
