    help how to play a .ts (transport stream) file

    on usenet lately i have seen alot of moviies with the extension .ts these files are aroud 8 to 9 gigs in size and i can't find anyplayer that will play them correctly i tried converting then with hdtv2mpeg program didn't work. i tried in videolan but it so law and audio is so choppy it's unwachable. If anyone knows a player or codec or how to guide whatever that would be grear this is driving me crazy. also how to shirk the files so that can fit on a dvd
