i am wondering about something called super win pe
anyone know about useing it good or bad
Yes. I have used it. Win PE is to Windows, what Knoppix is to GNU/Linux. Super WinPE is an .iso file you probably found on bittorrent right? You can make a boot disc that boots to a functioning Windows Operating system. Just like Knoppix, you can run applications, give commands, and browse directories.
What this is most useful for is to repair a damaged system. If you cannot boot for some reason, you can use a disc like this to try and fix it. That is the main purpose of this. If you are in a network environment, it can also come in handy, as you can use TCP/IP networking. You can use it to install Windows in some custom way, but you probably won't use it for that. I have used a similar type of disc to format an NTFS partition, with great ease, using a gui. See this about Bart's PE. With this you can make your own legal Windows PE, with your copy of Windows.
Hope this helps.
no i have not found it . i was told about it by a coworker said it was a god send
for what? repairs and such? he/she is right, but like i said, you can make your own using Bart's PE.Originally Posted by rustyranger

so i thought i would look for it
Knoppix will also work for a lot of things to repair a Windows FS. Especially if it is a config file corrupted. Knoppix also offers TCP/IP networking.Originally Posted by rustyranger
Get it and boot to it, learn how to use some of the features, and then ponder how this might be useful in case of emergency.
