it doesn't look like there is a supported codec or media player that plays these? is my last option burning them to a dvd?
there are like (6) *.sfv files and then the episodes i am trying to view are *.ogm. i have never seen these files before and don't know what to do. any help please.
BSplayer will handle them. Before you ask a lot more questions, look at this.

Download one of the codec packages provided by the KLite team in that thread. The big ones include bsplayer.
Here's another page of crap related to Ogg Media for reference.

thanks! i wasn't prepared on burning them to dvds. i got a backup drive for media only and dvd-r's were gonna add to that $$
download system file checker, it goes in handy with SFV files.. That make sure the file you downloaded isnt corrupted, its on usenet as well as par files to build the file or program back up so there is no errors upon playing.
You can get a directshow filter that will play .ogm files.
