    Can I de-activate Browsing?

Hi, I am using version 3.31

I have noticed that many WinMX users I am trying to browse show 0 results, even if I am downloading from them. There must be an option somewhere to keep others from browsing my shares, but I can't find it. I want to share, of course, but for security reasons, I prefer not to be browsed.

    Thanks

Your ruining it for the rest of them! You know what the main point of file sharing is... take a guess?

Sounds reasonable, least he wants to share, but i don't use WinMX so i wouldn't know, perhaps going to their website would help? Maybe they have an FAQ, or you could try browsing through Zeropaid and see what you find.

I Just spent some time on the WinMX newsgroup, as referenced on the WinMX web site. It seems the browse function is made unworkable by most of the Open Nap servers. But I couldn't find an answer to my question. It might not be possible to turn off browsing, as is the case in e-mule for example.
