    MSN Messenger 8.0-Alpha released

This is not an official release by Microsoft so if you don't install the patch, you wont be able to sign into the .NET Messenger service with v8.0 or above.

I had been browsing through forums and found this link which provides a few download links for MSN Messenger 8.0.

    Download: www.windowslive.tk

Note: Other links cannot be trusted, only download it from the above trusted link, i've downloaded and tested the file, and it is the official MSN Messenger 8.0.

Could you explain where to get the patch? I am unable to sign in.

On that site, download it from "Link 2" in that Rar folder there should be a patch, install it into the folder where MSN Messenger 8.0 is installed, make sure MSN Messenger 8.0 is running before you install the patch, and once the patch it running (That annoying little white box) dont close it or you'll be signing out of .NET.

To be honest ... i think this version is crap, i uninstalled it right away after 2 minutes and installed 7.5 again, i just so hope its nothing like it is now when it's released.

    I also thought 7.5 was a bad update to v7.2 (7.0) but that's just me ...

I am not villing to try 8.0 out yet. I think I will stay with 7.5 for now. I think that it is safer that way.

I don't trust vampmon and I wouldn't install anything he recommends.

OK, finally got it to work.

    Once.

I'll wait for the final release. That shit was annoying. And once you get rid of the extra window, you cannot get back in without another install. Screw that.

    Back on 7.5.
