    Talking Better Jazz guitarist

    Who in your opinon is the better jazz guitarist?

    Charlie Christian or Wes Montgomery?

    It's very hard to say since they were both if a uniquely different flavor.
    Charlie Christian was the first guitarist to bring out electric guitar in Jazz, and what was then popular music.
    Wes was a pioneer in his own rite. His style of thumbpicking and octave soloing went a long way as well.

    It all depends on taste and who's style you prefer.

    Been a very busy 14 mos. Career change, a marraige, relocation. I have been popping in to read the news and some of the threads. THe new layout is pretty cool. Don't understand much about these rep points though.
    What kind of magical powers do you get when you collect a whole bunch of them?

    I know of Pat Metheny. Just don't listen to it. I prolly know more, but I am not aware of them.
