I just bought the 20gb ipod. i've had it up and running, transfered about a dozen music albums (with no track titles), realizing my mistake, i rebooted the ipod (removed all appropriate software too). now, only wanting to try an album at a time, i named the tracks, sent them to the ipod. job done? NOPE!, using the ipod, it says theres no songs on it! but, after opening "my computer" and selecting the ipod drive, it shows the album i transferred earlier, ANY IDEAS GUYS?? thanx in advance.
flash your ipod with ipod update and get the lastest firmware
use itunes
also, when its connected to my laptop, it says "do not remove", been like that for the last hour or so,
You have to use iTunes to transfer the files onto the iPod, dragging and dropping them onto the drive in My Computer will not work, as this "drive" is for storage only, music to be played by your iPod is stored in a different section of it's drive. Also, by saying "do not remove" it probably means do not remove abrupty; try using the "safely remove hardware" icon in your system tray.
hmmm, thanks for that mate, i'll try it in a mo, i'm just converting all my music to 'aac' format..
I would honestly go get my money back.
take it back....tell them" i suck at the internet"
