    Gay Nat Error

    ok, i have motorolla surfboard cable modem SB5101
    and Lynksys Router BEFSR41
    i have Hi-Speed Shaw EXTREME Internet
    and i do around 5600 kilbytes download speed in a internet speed checker

    i tried going in the router site..... i wrote my ip address in my browser
    but it doesnt work

    i did the DOS thing, and did the ip config thing
    and i wrote my ip address onto the browser but still, AZureus is still effing
    yellow smilies...

    i try testing, and it says Unable to test (invalid port given, or test service failed)

    Please help me!!!!

    You have to put the address of the router into your browser, not the address of your computer.

    portforward.com has step by step instructions for the type of router you have.

    And knock off the childish "gay" thing.

    Im pretty sure the router is not into routers of the same sexual preference. Actually I don't think routers have any kind of sexual preference...

    follow this link http://192.168.1.1 and enter the default password (i think it is 'admin') with no username

    BTW, networking gear doesn't come with a sexual preference, but has in the past been known to copy it's owner.

    This is kinda cheesy, but I signed up just to thank the people who said something about crazy_monkees remark. I'm gay, so I hate hearing people call things gay when they don't like them. Thanks :) You don't know how many people may have stumbled across this thread and felt a little better.

    They're just like normal routers only you need to use a crossover cable :icon_thum
