Hi -
I just got a new laptop which is superior in every way to my last one, except that it doesn't have an internal burner. So a friend of mine gave me an old external USB burner to use until I could get myself a newer, faster one. Only problem is, he no longer has the driver CD. I looked for a driver installer on the Net, and I found one at driverguide.com. But I'm not sure exactly what to to with it. I extracted the files to the System32/drivers folder and ran the wizard that comes up when I plug it in, but it says it cannot find the necessary files.
The drive's model number is H446EU-15R and I'm running Windows XP with SP2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Cant find the file STFU.infAny help would be greatly appreciated
You search your drive to see if you happen to have that file anywhere, and then when it says cant fine it, you browse to it. Usually, its right under your nose.
It also helps when you give file info, links etc, so we know more about what you have to work with, or take screen shots of the files you extracted.
Or, find some jr high kid and pay him $5 to do it for you.
.
$5 is too much, when you can just get some 6 year old to do it for a lollipop.Originally Posted by Krell
