I never got freenet to work for me, so I uninstalled it from my computer. However there are still a bunch of files left on my computer. Will just deleting the folder completely remove everything within the folder, or will I have to go into the folder and delete every file by hand to completely remove freenet from my computer? Will deleting these files pose any risk to my system?
After you remove the files & folder, you may want to use a registry cleaner utility to clean your registry & remove any link "shortcut" to that program.
I get an error message that says "cannot delete freenet. Access is denied."
Fixed it. I deleted all of the folders associated with it and emptied the trash can using a secure delete program.
Good Idea, Freenet it useless to anybody but Nazi lovers and child porn freaks. The fact that they broadcast that shit on the very front of the search page is like putting a link on the front page of google to hidden camera's at Neverland Ranch.Originally Posted by bluetooth9
By far the most offensive program I've ever seen period. And I'm not easily offended.
That's what bothered me the most about it. They don't even deny the fact that those perverts use their program. I regret ever downloading the stupid thing. I hope someday they're forced to prevent Child Porn from being on their program or face getting shutdown - or outlawed - whatever it takes.
