There is something fishy about it.. SVCD is suppose to have a bin and cue file. If you download a svcd, it will have rar file .01.02 ane etc.. So when you click on the first one, it will extract all the others. IF you downloaded an AVI File and its two minutes.. CHances are you only extracted one of the rar files, and none others got combined or joined. Make sure you got the latest version of winrar.

so if you unzip one winrar file?? And then theres a bunch of winrar files with in it? IF thats the case, it sounds odd.. But extract all the winrar in the folder to another folder.. Then click on it and see if it combines all the other files together. Its very strange, what p2p client you get this off of? I think the person didnt want to individually upload a rar file.. so he placed it all in a single folder and compressed it. It could cause errors i guess.

Yeah, I'll agree, it does sound a little odd. The only thing I can think of is that you might have not started extracting from the first rar file (usually called xxxx.part01.rar or xxx.r00). If that's not the case, I'd say just search for another format of the movie.

You could Right Click/Open with Winrar and see the file and it's eventual size; then extract.
Or if there's an extension before the numbers ( like .avi.001) then it's a Split file.

    Here's how I do it......
right click and arrange files by size, then I unpack the first rar file and it's almost always the complete file (avi, mpeg).

The ".bin" file can be merely dragged and dropped to play in either Nero showtime, or if want a free universal player, I reccomend VLC LAN PLAYER...........http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

    DOWNLOAD for WINDOWS: http://www.videolan.org/mirror.html?....8.5-win32.exe

Hope you got your file out of the RAR set already

Essentially, the RAR file set contains your bin file (or any other type of file) but compressed and neatly packaged into separate parts. The program named WINRAR is the thing that creates and unzips the RAR files. Note that you need all of the RAR files in a set to reconstitute the file contained within. That is where PAR files come in: they are separate files which cleverly allow you to regenerate missing or damaged RAR files providing you have a minimum number of files.

Once you figure it out, you will find that it is very easy to use RAR and PAR files.

    Good luck.

The extension '.001', '.002' can either be combined with Quickpar or joined with hjsplit.

if you have something called a par2 file then u use quickpar to join the films..if u just have the .001, .002 files then use hjsplit...u can use the google search engine to find these programs.
