    Arrow part.rar files

I'm a newbie, so can someone tell me how I'm supposed to install programs using part[number].rar files? I checked the readme and it said I need Daemon [which I already have].

You first need WinRAR, your a file sharer so I dont need to tell you where you can get this from :D If you want trial or want to buy it go here www.rarlabs.com . Go to part01.rar and extract it to a folder using WinRAR, if you have all the parts it will extract without errors, if not, you need the missing parts.
Then you need to tell us what files are in that folder, if you need to use daemon, it will be some kind of cd/dvd image file which you will need to mount.
If you right click on the file, there may be an option to Mount the image file to a virtual drive. I cant remember the exact wording but I dont have an image file about so I cant test. If not you will have to go into Daemon tools and set up a virtual drive - searching google will give you a better description than I can right now.

But, once you have mounted the file that was in the archive it may auto-load, like a regular CD would if you put it in the CD-ROM drive. You can either install straight off from the virtual drive, or you can burn the image to a CD-R using Daemon tool s and then put it in your real CD-ROM drive (again cheack google for info on how to burn the CD)

Hope I have been of help, if not just post the problem and Il try have a go at answering it :D

I'm having almost the same problem (scuse my english still learning) I've downloaded the metal gear solid pc version game but I dunno what to do next with all those rar files, I tried opening one of them it asked me for the password, uh I obviousley dunno the password but I just clicked on ok without typing any password the message just went away, I dunno if it'll work without the password tho. so anyway there are two files in each winrar part dev-mgs1.bin this is the huge one and the other is dev-mgs1.cue (smaller one) I dunno what to do with these files and how can I install it and play. I'd really appriciate any help! thanks in advance..

two things your not suspose to name the file you downloaded.
second what i can suggest you do is look for a .nfo file from whereever u downloaded said file at. the .nfo file will tell you the password usually for the file etc.
if you can get the .nfo file do it as this is the information that gives you the password of the file u downloaded and plus more info on the file you downloaded ok.
    cheers

oh okay sorry I didn't know that, I wouldn't name the files again.
Okay I read the.nfo file and it doesn't say anything about the password but under the description of the files it says ''Protection: SAFE DISC'' I don't know what that means. when I opened one of the winrar files it does ask for the password but still extracts okay without it so does that mean I wouldn't actually need it?
The intructions on the 'nfo file says I'll have to burn them to a cd using cdrwin but it doesn't say anything about how would I install it and stuff, the intructions says to go into the crack dir on cd1 and copy the cracked .exes into your install dir. I'm a lil confused here, do I have to burn it on a cd then install it? and change the exes with the cracked files? uh I know what I'm asking is a lil dumb but I'm a noobie and I dunno much about torrents and burning cds and stuff.

Sometimes parts in bittorrent can become corrupt during transfer. Most (all?) clients throw out this bad data and redownload those parts.

no, you won't have to download the file again. Your file is fine. Bittorrent programs just check the data when it's downloaded to make sure it's the correct data.

Most games need only the size of CD-R disk(s), but new games could also be the size of single DVD-R disk. CD-RW or DVD-RW disks are more expensive, but not required!

right, but since I have already bought cd-rw disks, would it be okay to burn the game to these cds? or do I have to buy cd-r instead?
