    Firefox is crap

Is there anyway I can restore my bookmarks and stuff in Firefox when it just randomly decides it want to forget them for no reason?
Is there an easy way to export bookmark setting etc so that next time it happens I can just re-import all my bookmarks etc?
    Thanks

If you have more than 1 profile, have you tried opening the profile manager to check it hasn't switched profiles on you?

I only have 1 profile, I'm pretty sure. It's done it a couple of times before.

i backup my entire profile (Documents and Settings\$user\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles\)
every once in a while just add it to a zip file after deleting the cache to save space.

the bookmark manager (bookmarks>manage bookmarks) allows you to {im|ex}port your firefox bookmarks

Ive had this happen to me before but I had a ton of tabs open. It was like, I couldnt connect to anymore webpages even though my internet connection was fine. I closed firefox, but when I tried to open it again it gave me the profile manager. what you have to do is kill firefox manually by using task manager for windows or kill command for linux. for mac i have no idea since im not rich and dont buy apple products. Hope this helps.

BTW SessionSaver(http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/sessionsaver) is my favorate plugin

    "Firefox is crap."

What? I'm afraid you're mistaken. Firefox is the farthest thing from "crap" you'll find in the browser category, in my humble opinion. Yeah!

"Is there anyway I can restore my bookmarks and stuff in Firefox when it just randomly decides it want to forget them for no reason?"

Yes, Bookmarks-->Manage Bookmarks-->Then File (In the new window.)-->Import. Of course this answer assumes you've backed them up by exporting them already. As for "stuff" I'm afraid you'll have to clarify.

Is there an easy way to export bookmark setting etc so that next time it happens I can just re-import all my bookmarks etc?

See above, but choose Export instead of import (They are right next to each other). As for etc... again you'll have to clarify.
