Just my two cents. I have always been a thrasher, with my favorite bands being Tool, Metallica, Slayer but there is one band that has always touched my soul. And when I saw Pink Floyd re-united for live-eight it sent shivers down my spine. In all my life I have never known another band that is in the same class and it makes me depressed that everything that has come after them has been in some way less. Of all the shows of all the bands that performed today not one matched the anticipation and excitement of Pink Floyd.
Again just my two cents.
My first album I ever bought with my own money was Darkside of The Moon when it first came out in the early 70's. Metallica and Slayer I can occasionaly listen to, as well as Tool. However when it comes to Tools early videos,(not sure about any new ones) I will turn the channel. There is just somehting very disturbing, emotionaly about the stop animation and images they used in there videos. Just to damn creepy for me,and I have seen some nasty crap in my short 48 yrs on this planet. Tool, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
"Dark Side" came out right at the start of my marijuana smoking days. The two things were a beautiful combination. I no longer smoke, but I still love Floyd!!
Pink floyd performances are always grand, but all their albums sound exactly the same =(
I first heard Saucer Full of Secrets on acid when I was much younger. Its scared the hell out of me. I've not been able to listen to it again.
Hard as ever and here to make you people believe...as long as there is one person to hold hope and dream...A GOD...will never die!
Tom cochrane sang live on main street in my town last night,it was great to be able to see one of my favorite musicians playing live(and for free).
I know that had nothing to do with Pink Floyd, I also like them and Metallica.
Hi all. i have always liked PF. as a matter of fact. i play guitar and always love playing pink floyd for my friends,, check out Alan parsons. he engineered floyds early stuff.
Was this in Canada? Because I find it hard to believe any other Country in the world would care about Tomas Cochrane. I'm not shocked that it was free. Who would be dumb enough to pay for that audio urine?Originally Posted by the great one

A world of invisible people. We pass them without seeing them, as casually and indifferently as we pass our own reflections in store front windows. Do they really live among us? Or are they citizens of another country, a vast and teaming gulag of the dispossessed. No, don't turn away. Look in their faces. Do you see your brother? Your mother? An old friend? Someone you went to school with? Someone you once loved? No? You didn't see them? Not today. Tomorrow you could.
