    Another Explorer.exe Error....

Wow.... Im guessing the trojan jumped computers onto my 98 machine.
But this time its soo much worse.
I load up my computer, log in to windows Error Message: "Error loading explorer.exe; You must reinstall windows".
Ive reinstalled windows twice now.... Once to C:\Windows and another to C:\Windows.000.
Ive loaded windows from .000... Same error.
I loaded Safe Mode... Same error.
I got into Command prompt by tapping F8 at startup, I edited the system.ini file to boot from taskman.exe.
It booted to taskman.exe alright and I can do anything from there, I ran SFC and it only repaired one file in both Windows and Windows.000 but it "Added" about 1300.
I changed back system.ini from Shell: Taskman.exe to Shell: Explorer.exe (back to normal).
I tried booting my system up agian; same error.
In the SFC I made it scan ALL Windows folders/subfolders.
    IM STUCK!!!!!

it's not a trojan, if it moved between computers on it's own it is a worm, strange that it could be shared between 98 and xp, the 9x line of windows was so network blind i am suprised there are any remote worms just because nothing looks at the network really.

could also be bad electricity messing with your computers make sure you have good surge protectors on all your gear.

    Nvm... Figured it out.
Very stupid of me, When I was trying to replace the Explorer.exe from my XP machine I accidently left it on C:\ so it altared Windows 98 and windows 98 tryed to boot from the XP version of Explorer.exe.
