The amount of programs running on my computer are the same. I tested both clients seperately on the same computer. Both download speeds were the same. But the result is that BitTornado uses less cpu than Azureus. If you don't believe me, you could test it yourself.
You can't make that accusation without a more scientifically sound test. The conditions were different for each program, and they will never be the same to permit accurate testing.

Azureus uses less resources, it is Java that uses more :p
I get your point though and it is well known that Azureus is a resource hog.

Azurues should also use MUCH more memory because Java is a resource whore. Java is also secure and runs on anything with the JRE(JRE runs on anyting with a C compiler), like my Linux machine.
Azurues also uses up more resources because it has more features, like a Distributed Hash Table which uses up a ton of clock cycles, because kicks that much ass. Personally I wouldn't touch a BitTorrent client that doesn't have a DHT. Within the first 20 days of BT's DHT, it broke 300,000 users.
I have a modern machine, why waste my time with a crappy client like BitTornado?
BitTornado is compatible with the official DHT.

Would there be any advantages to me migrating from BitComet to BitTornado??
(I started off with official, then PTC, then Azureus... then tried BitTornado but didn't like it at the time (while back)... so I settled with BitComet. Has BitTornado advanced much over the last 3-6 months?

BitTorando does NOT support DHT, maybe you should do a little research before you poast :\
Java like Python is knowen for EXTREAM rapid development, so the java development team will be able to produce more features more quickly than BitTornado's. Azureus will always have more features than BitTornado.
I don't think you guys understand how awesome DHT is:

It was BitComet I was thinking of.

BitTornado hasn't changed at all. As for advantages over Bitcomet, I guess that comes down to personal preference. I tried Bitcomet for a while. Hated the layout of it.Originally Posted by method
A basic layout without a lot of settings or tweaking works fine for me.That's why I use BitTornado.
Actually bitcomet works best for me. Azureus is the fastest but is way too much of a resource hog and is very unstable on my machine.
WoW who da thunken???
An advanced BT program verses a basic BT client...which one uses more resources??
Common now...
