"You know what? We've just done the table read for The Simpsons movie, so although we've been promoting that we're going to do it, now we're actually doing it and are in production," Nancy Cartwright, who gives voice to Bart Simpson, told BBC Radio 1 this week.

Cool, I hope they use normal animation though. I hate when cartoons turn into movies and they have different animation and you can't quite finger whats different about it but you can see something about it is different.

I'd be happier if they did this years ago during seasons 4 or 5. The Simspsons just aren't what they used to be...
Yeah but sometimes when they turn cartoons into movies, the animation is slightly different, like its more detailed or the lines are thinner, or something I cant put my finger on. But you can tell its a movie rather than a normal episode. I think they add more frames to make it smoother. If im not mistaken.

24fps is the standard for film, and seems to have worked fine for just about EVERYTHING. 29.98fps apparently makes movies with lots of special effects look crisper, but im not sure if the fps has bein used outside of digital.
