As you can probably see from my avatar, Blizzard Entertainment is mine. Their games are so engrossing and inovative , and they are an american based company, ya don't see too many successful video game companies from the states.
Capcom would come in at a close second, the Resident Evil game series is an all time fav of mine.

Gotta say Blizzard is up there (Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo all quality games)
Valve/Sierra (Half Life 1 and 2, CS, Team Fortress all revolutionize FPS)
Eidos or Ion Storm? (Whoever made Deus Ex, the best FPS even IMHO)
