Someone Stealing My Bandwidth?
Okay Gang, Here's a tough one (for me, at least)
I d/l'ed WinMX 3.2 a few weeks back and it worked terrific...for two days. I saw the banner for the newer version, uninstalled 3.2 and reinstalled 3.3.
I have no problem making a primary connection through my DSL, but when I do a search I get the "Waiting for results" message at the bottom of the screen but no results, ever. What bothers me more is when I check the Transfers tab there is nothing coming in or going out, but when I check the Bandwidth tab I'm max'ed out on both incoming and outgoing.
So, is there some way that some less than honest MinMX'er out there is spoofing my computer and sending/receiving data out using my home PC as a server?
I'd love to get back to d/l'ing my geeky karaoke songs!

Have you tried Secondary Connection & does that still give you the same problem?

Secondary
Yep, I tried a secondary connection and had the same results.
Actually, I still get the "Waiting for results..." but my b/w meter goes to zero. In any case, I can no longer receive files to d/l.

Okay,
I get it. No one is stealing bandwidth and cable/dsl are both shared. Can I gather some of the wisdom out there to tell me why my searches no longer get results?

Here's a program that I use to monitor all the bandwidth on my computer. You can use this program independently of WinMX to check your bandwidth activity.
